The enormous media obsession with nurses on strike over the past few weeks has thrust Trevor Clay into the eye of the storm. His relaxed yet forceful media style, well polished after five years as General Secretary of what he likes to call 'the world's largest nursing organisation,' has been tested to the full. His relentless work schedule has intensified daily and he is anticipating no let-up for months to come.
